Changes to Altrua HealthShare Memberships (July 1st, 2022)

As a valued Independent Member Representative (IMR) we, at Crown Administrators, know that you are the first call when your clients have questions regarding their Altrua HealthShare Membership. Therefore, we strive to make sure you are equipped with the most up-to-date information regarding Altrua HealthShare, as well as tools to help you service your Members and grow your business.

We want to let you know about an upcoming price increase to monthly contributions, effective July 1, 2022. This increase will be for all Altrua HealthShare members, active and enrolled. You can view the contribution changes on the recently updated 2022 Altrua HealthShare pricing brochure located in the Marketing Materials Resource library available through your IMR Portal.

Since their beginning over 25 years ago, Altrua Healthshare has had very few price increases. It is of the utmost importance to Altrua HealthShare to keep membership contributions as low as possible. There are two primary reasons making it necessary to increase contribution amounts. First, nationwide inflation have greatly impacted the amounts that healthcare providers and facilities are charging for their services. These increases have greatly impacted organizations like Altrua HealthShare, meaning the costs for sharing are higher. Second, the last two years have caused Members to have more medical expenses as they have sought testing and treatment in the battle against Covid-19. This increase in medical needs has also led to the need to raise contributions.

What does this mean for your Members? The quality of care and sharing you’ve come to expect from Altrua HealthShare will continue. Members will continue to find that their Altrua HealthShare membership remains about half the cost of traditional insurance. If this new contribution amount does not work for your Member’s financial situation, please contact us to explore options.
